Jim Messemer is the CEO NJTX LLC. A vehicle investing in public, private investments, private equity, hedge funds, venture capital, seed investments in startups, real estate and development. He attended Texas Tech University where he played on the men’s soccer team (1977- 1980). He was also on the Red Raider Baseball roster (1977, 1978). Messemer signed with the Detroit Express (later Washington Diplomats), Denver Avalanche (Major Indoor Soccer League) and later signed as a free agent contract with the New York Jets as a placekicker.
After his athletic career, he served in management positions at C. R. Bard, a multi-national developer, manufacturer and marketer of medical technologies (cardiology, vascular, urology, oncology and surgical specialties) and at SCIMED Life Systems (since 1995, Boston Scientific Scimed Inc.). SCIMED engaged in the development, manufacture and marketing of medical devices to treat cardiovascular disease. Jim served as Chair and Executive Director of the non-profit organization, San Francisco Reviving Baseball in the Inner cities (SF RBI), which he co-founded with Major League Baseball.
